About

Overview

Order of Battle: U.S. Marines puts players in control of the elite U.S. military branch which proved essential in the Allied victory over Japan. This new expansion follows the story of the U.S. Marine Corps during the island hopping campaign of 1942-1945. As the fighting progresses across small, isolated jungle islands, the Japanese adapt their strategy from ruthless assaults to deep, well-prepared defensive systems - determined to hold on and fight to the last man.

Player reviews

Fantastic addition that expands the strategic options significantly. The marine focused units bring fresh tactics to the table and make combined arms even more satisfying. Campaign length is generous with plenty of replay value through different difficulty settings and force customizations.

Taylor QuinnOct 6, 2026

The DLC struggles with some bugs in the new mechanics that disrupt flow during key battles. AI pathing issues appear more frequently here than in the base game. While the theme is appealing, the execution leaves much to be desired and it feels rushed in places.

ShadowVortexOct 6, 2026

Decent content overall but the new maps feel a bit repetitive after a while. Unit variety is good but not groundbreaking. Performance is stable and the tutorial for new features is helpful for newcomers to the series.

Jordan HaleOct 6, 2026

Enjoyed the new campaign scenarios which introduce varied objectives and force compositions. Some missions require careful planning to succeed on higher difficulties. The new marine-specific abilities integrate well with existing mechanics, though a couple of balance tweaks would make it perfect.

BlazeKnightOct 6, 2026

This expansion adds a lot of depth to the core gameplay with new units and missions focused on amphibious operations. The balance feels solid and the AI challenges keep things interesting over multiple playthroughs. Graphics updates are subtle but effective, enhancing the battlefield visuals without requiring a high-end rig. Overall a worthwhile addition for fans of turn-based strategy.
